Dave began his career by joining HSBC and spent six years there, becoming proficient in Life Assurance and Pensions. His product knowledge and people skills meant that he soon became a global technical referral point and was responsible for training and developing recruits.

Deciding that he needed a new challenge, Dave left HSBC and joined Simply Finance. His desire for personal and professional progression urged him to learn a new area and in his spare time he studied for his mortgage qualifications.

After becoming confident in his abilities to be compliant within the strict FCA mortgage regulations, he saw an opportunity to specialise in the Buy To Let market. This area is often neglected by other brokers due to the more stringent requirements from mortgage lenders.

Two years later Dave was nominated as Buy To Let Broker Of The Year.

This award is based on customer and business partner recommendations. Dave got through to the final three.

 

His skill and competence was then proven when he reached the final three yet again in 2017.

Simply Finance was purchased by John Charcol and Dave saw another opportunity to further his career by starting his own business. Using his proven product knowledge and excellent customer skills he reunited with an old HSBC colleague who had experience in property and business management. 

 

Together they formed Springford Financial Solutions Limited, a broker company that specialises in Buy To Let but can also offer mortgages for any situation and any customer.
